Cauldwell Councillors and parents welcome signage to warn drivers of children playing nearby

Concerned parents in Haynes Road requested signage to warn drivers to drive slowly and with more consideration as children often play outside in this cul-de-sac. Councillors Fouzia Zamir and Abu Sultan were more than happy to pay for the signage from their ward funds.

In a joint statement the councillors said;

"We believe children should be encouraged to play more outdoors and interact with other children in their neighbourhood. Parents should have the peace of mind that their children are safe when they are playing outside, which is vital for the wellbeing of children, even more so now after months in lockdown and restrictions. We will continue to listen and work with our residents to make our communities a better place for everyone to work and live in."
