Cllr James Valentine said: "It was a privilege for me as Lead Member for Education and Children’s Services to join in the handover of extra laptops and iPads for Ridgeway School’s children.
"Many thanks to High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, 2020-2021, Susan Lousada, for organising this and to the Rotary Club of Bedford Park for raising the funds. And a special thanks to our Virtual School who were responsible for ascertaining the demand for these devices at Ridgeway and schools across Kempston & Bedford.
"Headteacher Andrew Munday said that many of our children find it hard to access online learning and the availability of the devices can only help their educational progress during these most difficult of times.”
