The NHS looks after us when we need it, now we must look after it. Years of underfunding and pay freezes have left our NHS under resourced and under staffed. Labour has a plan to rescue our NHS.

"If re-elected I will back Labour's plan for a £26bn real terms healthcare funding boost. That's six billion more than the funding the Tories announced last year. This increase will be used to bring our NHS capital expenditure up to the international average. We cannot continue to underfund our NHS.
At the last election I pledged to fight to save the maternity, A & E, and Paediatric units that were under threat at Bedford Hospital. Together we saved those services. Now by voting for me as your Labour candidate we can get our hospital the funding it needs to be sustainable for the future."
