Goldington Ward is represented by Cllrs Anthony Forth and Jade Uko. They have a reputation for getting things done.

They work hard all year round to get the best for Goldington.

Anthony was first elected to represent Goldington in 2015.  He lives in the heart of the ward with his family.  He has been a school governor, community network secretary,  chair of Bedford and Kempston Constituency Labour Party and community centre chair. 

 

In the past he has worked for the NHS, Whitbread and University of Bedfordshire.  As well as his council responsibilities, he works part-time for The Open University. 

 

In 2017 he was appointed to the council executive with responsibility for adult services and operational housing.  He is passionate about supporting local residents as well as local businesses and voluntary groups.

A passionate campaigner on behalf of residents, Jade was born and brought up in Goldington and has a vast amount of knowledge about the local area.

 

Housing, education and healthcare are all issues Jade cares deeply about and has had high profile successes in since her election in 2015.

 

As Chair of Church Lane Community Centre, Jade oversaw the £750,000 regeneration of this valuable community asset. People are the heart and focus of Jade’s priorities and she is led by the needs of residents.
