Candidate for upcoming Putnoe by-election selected

Bedford & Kempston Labour Party have selected Graham Tranquada as their candidate. He has lived in Putnoe for 25 years and spent 30 years serving as a Firefighter with Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Service. Recently, he has been leading a number of local campaigns to protect public services.

Graham said after his selection:

"I'd like to pay tribute to Sallyanne's work as a councillor for Putnoe. However I believe many of her local supporters, who've voted Lib Dem in the past, are now looking around for an alternative. I will be campaigning hard in this election to give the people of Putnoe a real choice and be a strong voice for change in Borough Hall."
