WEDNESDAY 10:30 Shakespeare Road resurfacing Shakespeare Road is due to be resurfaced at the end of May ~ June. Most concerned about effect on trees and want to ensure that none are damaged during the works. Attended a site meeting between the Council's Arboricultural Officer and Amey contractors. Raised the problem of insufficient drains and the road floods at various points during heavy rain. Good news. Extra, new drains are going to be installed.

SATURDAY 09:30 Shakespeare Road trees Observed the contractors checking the depth of the roots around the trees in preparation for the resurfacing to check there was no damage to the roots and to see if there were any problems.
